    Set the room size or import the floor plan you already have, from a CAD (DXF) file, a PDF or a photo. Add tables, a stage, the dance floor. About ten minutes.

    Tell us about the venue

    Two short screens: where you are, what the room holds, and where to email you when it’s live.

    Add the button to your site

    We check the room by hand, usually within 1–2 days, then email you your room’s page. Add the View on seatplan.io button next to the room’s photos if you like: one line of HTML, with steps for your site builder.

Venue floor plans: the honest answers

What does it cost?

Nothing. The floor plan, the button and the listing are free for as long as you want them.

Is there free event diagramming software for venues?

Yes. Draw your room here to scale, with its tables, stage and dance floor, and publish it free with no account. Planners open it from your website and seat their guests in it. When your team wants a copy per booking, that is Event Manager.

Why is it free?

Planners who open your room can start their seating plan in it on seatplan.io, and some of them go on to use SeatPlan for the whole event. That is how it pays for itself.

Do I have to put the button on my website?

No. Your room’s page on seatplan.io is free either way. The button is how planners on your website find it, so it is worth adding next to the room’s photos.

How long does it take?

About ten minutes to draw the room and fill in two screens. We review it by hand, usually within 1–2 days, and email you your room’s page.

Can I update the floor plan later?

Yes. The confirmation email carries a private manage link. Open it to edit the room and resubmit; a published plan updates on seatplan.io within the hour.

Who reviews the submission?

We do, by hand. We check the room looks like a real room and the venue matches the website you gave us.

Can I import my floor plan from CAD or a PDF?

Yes. A DXF from your CAD software imports at exact scale. A PDF or a photo of the plan is traced by our AI importer, and you fix anything it missed before you publish. You can also draw the room from its measurements.

I’m moving off Prismm. Can I rebuild my rooms here?

Yes, though nothing moves over by itself. Cvent says Prismm templates do not carry over, so each room has to be rebuilt wherever you go next. Here, import each room from its CAD (DXF) file, a PDF or a photo and publish it free. In Event Manager, save each room as a template you clone for every booking.

Can I remove the seatplan.io name from the button?

No. The button always carries our name. If you would rather not show it, link to your room’s page on seatplan.io however you like.
