SeatPlan.io was born in August 2025 out of pure frustration. Hours spent wrestling with paper seating charts and Excel spreadsheets—sticky notes falling off, layouts impossible to visualize. Nothing online was good enough. So I built exactly what I needed: an intuitive drag-and-drop seating chart designer.
The venue saw what I'd created and immediately asked if they could use it for their next event. That's when I realized I wasn't the only one struggling. I put it online, users started finding it, and feedback started rolling in. Today, thousands of events have been planned on SeatPlan.io.
Event professionals started asking for collaboration features, so we built those too. But the heart of SeatPlan.io remains the same: the simple, intuitive seating planner that makes organizing any gathering—from intimate dinners to large conferences—effortless.
