| Feature | Why SeatPlan.io does it better |
|---|---|
Rebuild each room free | The venue floor plan is free, with no account. Upload the PDF you exported from Prismm and the AI importer places the tables, seat counts and areas for you to check; it is in beta. |
Exact-scale DXF import | A DXF from your CAD software imports at exact scale with no AI, and uses none of your AI imports. |
A page for every room | Submit the room and we review it by hand, usually within 1 to 2 days, then it gets its own page on seatplan.io. |
A template for every booking | Event Manager, a monthly subscription, saves each room as a template you clone for every booking, and includes 10 AI imports a month. |

Frequently asked
SeatPlan.io vs Prismm: common questions
- When does Prismm stop working?
- Cvent moved Prismm accounts to Cvent Event Diagramming from 13 May 2026. Since 26 August 2026, new events can only be created there. Existing Prismm events stay editable until June 2027. Then Prismm access ends and your Prismm work stays in Cvent as view-only.
- Is Prismm the same as AllSeated?
- Yes. Prismm is the product formerly called AllSeated. Cvent acquired Prismm in April 2025, when about 5,500 venues, hotels, planners and vendors used it.
- Do my Prismm templates move to Cvent Event Diagramming?
- No. Cvent says Prismm templates, favourites and groups do not carry over, and recommends recreating templates as Saved Layouts. Only events dated 1 January 2022 or later appear in Cvent. If you are rebuilding your rooms anyway, you can rebuild them in SeatPlan.io.
- How do I move a room from Prismm to SeatPlan.io?
- While you can still edit in Prismm, export each floor plan you want to keep as a PDF. Then start the free venue floor plan on SeatPlan.io, with no account, and upload it. The AI importer reads one page per PDF and places the tables, seat counts and areas for you to check; it is in beta. A DXF from your CAD software imports at exact scale with no AI. You can also set the room size and draw it.
- What does it cost to rebuild my rooms in SeatPlan.io?
- The venue floor plan is free. The free designer includes two AI imports to try, and a DXF import uses none. Submit the room and we review it by hand, usually within 1 to 2 days, then it gets its own page on seatplan.io. Event Manager, a monthly subscription, saves each room as a template you clone for every booking, and includes 10 AI imports a month.
- Does SeatPlan.io have 3D views or a tabletop designer?
- No. SeatPlan.io draws the room in 2D, to scale, with a guest's full name on every chair on a paid plan. It has no tabletop designer. Cvent Event Diagramming does not have Tabletop Designer yet either.
