Your Event Temple Guest List, Already Seated
Connect Event Temple to SeatPlan.io, import booking guests, reuse venue templates, and keep seating plans current when you reopen an event.
The booking is confirmed in Event Temple. You have a date, a room, and a guest list. Then seating starts, and someone downloads a spreadsheet, copies names into another tool, and hopes the file is still current by Friday.
The SeatPlan.io integration with Event Temple removes that copy-and-paste step. Choose a booking and bring its guests into a seating chart. Your team can work on the room while Event Temple stays the source of the booking roster.
Start with your booking
Event Temple is where your venue manages bookings. SeatPlan.io gives those bookings a visual seating plan. Connect your Event Temple account, select your organization and booking, and create the corresponding event in SeatPlan.io.
The import brings in the guest information available from the booking, including names, email addresses, and recognized dietary and notes fields when the booking provides them. Review the imported roster before you start seating. Missing information in the source does not become complete just because it has moved into a new tool.
This is a one-way connection. SeatPlan.io reads from Event Temple. It does not write your seating assignments or check-in activity back to the booking. Keep booking roster changes in Event Temple and make seating decisions in SeatPlan.io.
Connect your account
- Open the Event Temple integration page and choose Continue with Event Temple. Use this page even if you have previously visited the ordinary SeatPlan.io login page.
- Sign in to Event Temple and complete the connection. If you are already signed in to SeatPlan.io, the connection links Event Temple to your existing account.
- Choose the partner plan for your workspace. Eligible accounts can start a 14-day trial without a card. A previously used trial does not restart when you reconnect.
- In Event Manager, select your Event Temple organization and booking. Create the event and check its imported guests.
Start with one upcoming event. Check the event name, date, and guest roster against your booking before assigning seats. That gives you a clear starting point for the rest of the team.
Reuse your venue layout
A ballroom does not need redrawing for every dinner. Event Manager templates let you save the room layout and reuse it for another event. Place tables and service areas, check the space between them, and save a layout your team can start from next time.
For an existing image or PDF, you can also try AI floor-plan import. It creates editable elements from a supported source. Check the detected tables, seat counts, and room dimensions against your original plan before using the result. A clear source and a careful review matter more than skipping the last few minutes of setup.
Once the room is ready, arrange the imported guests. A familiar template leaves you more time for the decisions that change between bookings, such as where the hosts sit and which groups need to be close together.
When the roster changes
SeatPlan.io checks the linked Event Temple roster when you reopen the event. This is not a continuous live feed. Allow the refresh to finish, address any connection error, and review the guest list before sharing a final plan.
After a successful refresh, guests who are still in the booking keep their seats and check-in status. New booking contacts are added to the roster. If a contact was removed from the booking, that imported guest is removed and their seat is cleared.
That distinction matters near the event date. Seating work is preserved for retained guests, but a removed guest does not leave an occupied seat behind. After a roster change, check the unseated guests and any gaps at your tables before sending the revised plan to the venue team.
Share the plan and prepare arrivals
Use SeatPlan.io sharing and collaboration to review the layout with the people preparing the room. Confirm the tables, guest assignments, and service areas together. Agree which version the team will use on the day, especially if you also circulate printed exports.
For arrivals, a QR seat finder and wallet passes can help guests find their table. Set up those tools in SeatPlan.io and test the guest view before the event. Connecting Event Temple does not send invitations or notifications automatically. Keep a readable backup plan for guests who need help at the door.
Try it with one event
Pick your next booking, import its guest list, and use a venue template you already trust. Reopen the event after a roster change to review the refresh. By the time you share the seating chart, your team has checked both the people attending and the room they will walk into.
